The Learning Centre is pleased to announce a pilot project in collaboration with ProLiteracy to offer you free online programming.
New Readers Press Online Learning is an innovative online platform that offers pre-high school, GED and HiSET preparation. Each section comes with multiple courses that are divided into tasks and knowledge points. Alongside lessons, you can play games, review flashcards and do practice tests. You can take each lesson and attempt each test multiple times, with no time limits.
LEAMOS (Let’s Read) is a pre-ESL course that teaches non-literate Spanish-speaking adults to read and write. The platform is entirely in Spanish for navigational ease. You can learn alongside the online course with accompanying worksheets and activities. Contact the Learning Centre if you require your workbook printed off.
Voxy is a personalized language learning platform that pairs authentic content with personalized live instruction. You can choose from a variety of subject matter and topics — from science and health to current events and entertainment — and have your lessons tailored to you. The app has vocabulary flashcards, listening activities and picture flashcards to engage all types of learners. Lessons are quick and easy to do on the go.
