Beyond Food, launched in November 2017, was a collaboration between Edmonton’s Food Bank, The Learning Centre Literacy Association, and other local service agencies, with the goal of providing flexible wrap-around services to underserved adults.

Edmonton's Food Bank offers the Beyond Food Program, providing various services to individuals in need. All services are offered by appointment only and are completely free of charge. The program includes the following:

– Employment Coaching: Assistance with resumes, job search skills, and interview practice.

  • – Information and Referrals: Help with application processing and referrals to other relevant services.
  • – Financial Empowerment Workshops and Coaching: Referrals for tax services and guidance on financial management.
  • – One-on-One Support: Support services for newcomers, including settlement assistance, information on affordable housing, guidance on landlord-tenant –  questions, support for mental health and addictions, and assistance with family violence issues.
  •  
  • And More: The program offers additional services to address various needs of individuals seeking support.
